Cute for Christmas!

Crazy day today!!!  Busy, busy with loads of donations and people everywhere.  Loads of amazing gear in the store.   I found this gorgeous little floral jumpsuit straight away so just had to work with this as a starting point.  Girls look gorgeous today - just right for all those Chrissy parties!!

This is actually a size 14 but I had to take it in to fit my little girl.  It's absolutely divine - just love it.

....and the necklace is amazing.  It's one long continuous strand so you could wear this one so many different ways.  If my gorgeous girl had arms I would have wrapped and wrapped and wrapped around her wrist.  Very Bohemian!

The cutest little Mooloola dress perfect for those hot summer nights.

and luckily had some amazing necklaces in the store to team with the dress.

and check out the amazing dress I found.  I loooooove this dress (but am way too old to wear it unfortunately).  The brand is Valerija, which I couldn't find anywhere online but it is pretty amazing in real life.  This is a little strapless one.

I popped a nice little crocheted crop jacket on her as well and some gorgeous necklaces.

Girls are ready for whatever fun.

Lotsa Layers

Aaaagggghhhhh crazy morning in the shop today and my head was all over the place.  It's supposed to take me 5 minutes to dress each girl...do you know how hard it is to find 3 outfits that will work well together in 15 minutes?  It was never going to happen today, I knew that right from the beginning.  It took me a couple of tries to get the girls right today but I quite like how they've turned out.  I need to work on my photographic skills....definately!!  The colours are also not true due to the light shining through that massive window!  Ah well...you get the idea today.

Am totally loving this bag...it's lime green in real life and very funky.  I did have a gorgeous scarf on this one but it sold straight away (thanks Michelle x) so worked this one into the outfit and I don't mind it.  The top is Billabong and awesome for summer - nice and cool.

Ok the colours in this are totally deceiving.  The skirt is straight through and dark green - a nice stretch fabric.  Top is white and lacy - love the combination.  I popped a grey sleeveless layered  top on her as well for an added layer look.....and check out those black boots...yes, they are still there!!!

Hmmm now this is a gorgeous dark green top as well but it looks quite brown here!  I do love this top - short at the front and long at the back.  It looks awesome with this white tiered skirt and boots - yes, again, awesome boots that as far as I know are still in the shop for sale.  Now I had to get a little dash of animal print (or growl as my friend Lexie and I like to call it!!) in there as well but couldn't find a belt quite small enough.  This one had to do.

If only they had arms....they would be laden with bangles.  My necklace selection was quite limited today.

Semi-bohemian look for them today with a little feminine touch thrown in as well.  Far out, those boots are to die for!!

Hope you like my girls today. xx

My "If Only" Outfits!!

You'll notice I've called these outfits my "if only" outfits.  The reason they're called that is because.....if only I were 20 years younger I would totally wear them.  Check out those shorts in the first pic - they are simply divine.  Unfortunately my legs have seen much better days and I wouldn't be seen dead in something that short!!  Anyway let's just check out what I would wear if I was way younger,  actually I would totally wear the white dress outfit and leopard print outfit but would wear lacey tights or stockings or something similar under!!  Wait I could do that with the shorts - bugger, I hope they're still there tomorrow!! hahaha

I am so loving these shorts - not sure of brand but I know the red wrap top is  from "Flower".

A close up of the shorts.

The cutest ever little white broderie anglaise dress with white sheer wrap top.  Again not sure of brands but check out those shoes would you!!!

I love the look of lots of jewellery worn together too.  Yum!!

Love love love this dress.  Unfortunately the belt was way too big - I wanted it to pull the waist right in but couldn't find another red one to match.
Very cute little halter dress.

The girls look pretty cool together.

I found a nice little red necklace to add with the shorts outfit but would have loved loads of long red ones to team with this.

Just Peachy!

Wow what a tricky job it was today trying to dress these girls...tricky because I had way too much choice!  Everywhere I looked, there was another gorgeous piece.  I could have dressed them 5 times over I'm sure. Anyway this is what I decided on.  A couple of very feminime summery outfits for those that love that sort of look and something just for me...a bit of funky tartan teamed with a gorgeous floral.
ASOS skirt, simple cotton singlet top and Moshi Moshi floral jacket.  If you've not heard of the brand "Moshi Moshi" before, definately check them out.  They are an Australian brand started in 2005 and their range is fantastic.
This is absolutely my favourite skirt.

A close up of the top.  The materials is simply beautiful.  This has a large button at the top if you want to do it up.

Sensational FILO skirt and Sass and Bide top.

A close up of the top - yummy!!

What a gorgeous dress this one is - again, should have had my iron with me!!!  Spicysugar is the brand and I just love it.  I really wanted to pop a sheer black blouse with this one, tied up at the front but unfortunately I can't put black in the windows so I decided to pop a simply blue floral scarf with it so it would fit in with the other pieces.

Girls are ready for a nice luncheon, followed by a good movie.

Red...The Colour of Love

Today I decided on using the colour red for the girls clothing.  Red, symbolising love, passion and desire (amongst many other things ) was an appropriate colour for today as I wanted to spread a little love around.

A cute little halterneck dress that can be dressed up or down - love this one.

What a gorgeous dress this one is.  Strapless with an assymetrical hemline...and dots!

This is a stunning Stella Forest dress that unfortunately doesn't look as good in the pic as it looks in real life....and I totally should have had an iron with me today.  None the less, the dress is awesome.

I love my girls today but I was oh so tempted to throw in a leopard print scarf somewhere!!!

...and so it begins...

About two years ago I started volunteering at a second hand shop in my home town.  My favourite job is dressing the mannequins.  I normally go in on a Monday morning so the girls can get a fresh change of clothes for the week.  Those of you who are secondhand shoppers will understand my excitement and delight, getting to scour the racks finding just the right thing for them to wear.

Every week I'm going to get pics of the girls and post them here as a record of my little journey at the second hand shop.

I would love you to pop in and see how they change over the weeks.

...and as an added note, most of these outfits will come in at under $20!!!!
